Introduction
It is the proem. Simply by hearing the name, it is easy to create a preamble. You will be introduced to Kashmir’s beauty and adventure on a Himalayan tour. Trekking to the Kashmir Great Lakes Trek offers a lifetime of unforgettable experiences, even if you are exhausted. It is difficult to resist the peacefulness and unspoiled beauty that Kashmir lakes offer. The tranquility and unspoiled beauty of the Kashmir lakes is not all that appeals to you.
It is important to be fit for the trip to Kashmir’s Great Lakes. You can train to be a trekker by regularly going to the gym, running uphill, bicycling and cross-training every day. Mental fitness is essential.
It starts approximately 3 km from Sonamarg, on the Srinagar Road. The road is not lined with Shabbas. Trekkers should eat at the Naranag stop, as it is the last sign of a residential area.
The Best Season to Visit
For the best views of Kashmir Great Lakes, July and August are great months. These months are when the temperature is highest and the skies are clearest, which allows trekkers to make the most of their trip. The area is covered in snow from September through April making it difficult for trekkers to traverse. This makes camping impossible.
The daytime temperature is between 17-20 degrees Celsius and nighttime temperatures are between 3-5 and 5 degrees Celsius. Although June and September can be climbed in a tolerable month, hikers should be ready for cold nights and snow.
Safety criteria for the trek
It all depends on the individual’s fitness level and endurance. Even a beginner can complete the walk if they have the required fitness, endurance, and stamina. Trekkers of India’s skilled guides will assist you in overcoming the obstacles.
Children over 15 years old are encouraged to travel, as smaller children might struggle to overcome the obstacles and fight the altitude.
