Don’t Get More Legend Badges For Your Build Right Away
After looking at different player stats and testing them in Play Now Mode, you can now create your build.
This year, NBA offers 5 different levels of Badges, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Hall of Fame, and the new Legend level. In our opinion, your first build should not be focused on getting a lot of Legend Badges.
This is because 2K series was notorious for patching the game after Season 1, which caused many players to even feel like they were playing a completely different game. Therefore, if you focus your player’s attention on a specific aspect of the game and make him too powerful at the beginning, the developers at 2K will most likely nerf it to the minimum.
With these factors in mind, our opinion is to get as many Gold and Hall of Fame Badges as possible. This way, you’ll have a more balanced build that’s somewhat “untackable” because your MyPlayer will excel at multiple aspects of the game.
Also, keep in mind that NBA 2K will give you the ability to upgrade one of your Badges by one level each season, regardless of Attributes required to unlock it. So even with all Gold and Hall of Fame Badges, you’ll be able to test the effectiveness of new Legend Badges.
After Season 1, you’ll have a better idea of how to balance the effectiveness of your Badges, which Attributes work best for you, and decide whether to create a new player or stick with the balanced Demigod you created on day one.
Unlocking Key Animations
Finally, make sure Attributes you finalize on your MyPlayer will unlock the key animations you want. Because occasionally you’ll make a mistake, like trying to go for a high driving dunk with your build, but not unlocking the vertical height required for a contact dunk. And 2K is always working on whether you have the right animations for your play style.
